Manage your OAuth credentials, redirect URIs, and portal admins

The Hive API Partner Portal is your self-service dashboard for managing your integration with Hive. Once your organization is onboarded as an API partner, you use the portal to manage everything you need to authenticate against the Hive API.

What you can do in the portal

  • View your OAuth credentials: see your client_id and the brands your application is authorized to act on behalf of.
  • Rotate your client secret: generate a new client secret at any time. The old secret stops working immediately, with no overlap, so rotate during a deploy window. Existing access and refresh tokens aren’t revoked.
  • Manage redirect URIs: add, update, or remove the OAuth redirect URIs registered for your application. Saving replaces the whole list, and each entry must be a valid URL. Clearing removes all of them.
  • Revoke a brand’s authorization: remove a brand from your authorized brands. Its tokens stop working, and the brand must authorize your app again to reconnect.
  • View test brands: see the test brands assigned to your organization, with a link to open each in Hive.
  • Manage portal admins: invite teammates from your organization to the portal, or remove their access when they leave.

The plaintext client secret is available for 24 hours after onboarding and after each rotation. It is shown only once when you view your credentials during that window. If you miss the window, rotate the secret again. Copy it immediately and store it securely (for example, in your secrets manager). Hive only stores a hashed version and can’t recover the plaintext.

Enter the code on the portal sign-in screen.

The portal uses one-time email codes, so there’s no password to remember. To protect your account, codes are rate-limited to 3 sends and 5 verification attempts per 15 minutes per email address. A portal session lasts 24 hours, after which you sign in again.

Who can access the portal

Only email addresses explicitly added as portal admins for your partner organization can sign in. The Hive team sets up your first admin during onboarding. That admin can then invite additional teammates from inside the portal.

Getting onboarded

If your organization isn’t a Hive API partner yet, contact your Hive representative to start onboarding. You’ll receive a welcome email from Hive once your portal access is provisioned.
